Dr. Edward D. Simmons Lecture on Society and Human Values

Event Description:
The Center for the Advancement of the Humanities will host the Dr. Edward D. Simmons Lecture on Society and Human Values on Wednesday, March 27, at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Sensenbrenner Hall.

The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Nancy Bauer, dean of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and professor at Tufts University. Dean Bauer will speak on the meaning of education in our contemporary world and will consider what it means to receive an education. She will also reflect on the ways that common practices at modern universities and colleges often get in the way of realizing the value of an education.
