Screening of Dr. Marcos Estrada’s award-winning ethnographic film Brasiguaios: Transnational Lives

Event Description:
Could you add the following to the calendar:

Dr. Medeiros, Assistant Professor of Spanish, will host a screening of Dr. Marcos Estrada’s award-winning ethnographic film Brasiguaios: Transnational Lives and Identities (www.brasiguaios.com). The film portrays a transnational identity group living within the Brazil-Paraguay border. It shows the plight of this group holding socio-cultural ties with Brazil and Paraguay. Prior to the screening, Dr Estrada will briefly talk about migration, transnationalism, race, ethnicity and identity. The screening will be followed by a Question and Answers session.

When: March, 21st from 4pm-6pm
Where: Raynor Library (Beaumier Suite)

There will also be a special section of Cafe con Leche on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:30am-11:30am in order to further speak with Dr. Estrada. The Cafe con Leche will be held in the CIE.
