Admission is free and open to all students and community members.

This event features student and industry speakers who will discuss a variety of topics, each with a powerful message; our goal is to share "ideas worth spreading".

Students Speakers:
Caroline Kupchella, College of Communication
Steve Lewandowski, College of Engineering
Jamey Schilling, College of Business Administration

Industry Speakers:
Marcus White, VP of Community Engagement for the Greater Milwaukee Foundation
Frank Martinelli, Center of Public Skills Training

Steve Lewandowski
Steve will be talking about his journey to complete Ironman Madison and living a life to full potential. He will be illustrating some stories of his adventures through training and what it's like competing in an Ironman. More importantly he hope to share how he grew from this race and how it changed his life, along with many others around him.

Jamey Schilling
As the son of a diplomat, moving and being the new kid is nothing new to Jamey. Through 8 moves between four countries, he’s gained some unique perspectives. He will be speaking about his childhood as a the son of a foreign service officer, and more specifically, growing up as a third culture kid. His goal is to bring some of the life lessons he learned to life, and inspire others to make yourself at home, wherever they are.

Caroline Kupchella
Caroline will be talking about how paying attention to passion and diving into courage will lead you down paths that might seem like they're too big to walk down--such as starting a non-profit in India or moving to South Africa to work with populations of people far different from my own--but the outcome of walking those paths leads to so much growth.

Frank Martinelli
Frank is a strategic planning and governance consultant who works for the Center of Public Skills Training. He helps determined non-profit and public sector leaders harness the power of a shared vision.

Marcus White
Marcus is the current Vice President of community engagement for the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. Previously he was the executive director of the InterFaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee. Marcus began his career working with anti-apartheid organizations in South Africa in the late 1980s. He graduated from Wabash College and earned a Master's degree in urban studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
